Journal 89 - Trust and Math Skills

Journal 89

Tuesday - 11-23-10

I planned to head to the studio early, so that I could practice and do some homework during the group lesson, then practice more, and then go to hustle.

As I'm doing this journal late, I don't quite remember the reason, but I know that I was late getting out of my house to get to the studio. It had to do with my talking with friends from home, or waiting for something to finish doing something, I think, but truthfully, I really don't quite remember. Whoops!

Suffice it to say, I had a little less than an hour of practice before the group lesson - then I did homework for about an hour - and then practiced for another half hour or so.

While I was there, and practicing, it seemed that a new Samba has caught some favor... It was playing almost the ENTIRE time... It's called, "Bedbug," and it's quite catchy...

Once practice was over for me, I was off for hustle!!

**********

I was told -- after my not having been there last week -- "Katya!! You *have* to be here every Tuesday!!" -- They were happy to see me, needless to say.

I didn't stay too long -- maybe 45 minutes. I got tuckered out after some good dances!!! Did I mention? Zhenya's back. Still a great dancer -- he put me through my paces again!

I walked out with Maxim and his friends -- but when I came out to join them (they were waiting for some other friends to get their things and come out), Maxim and I started "fighting" about how long I'd been there!!

He was sure that I'd been there for half an hour, or less -- while I knew I'd been there longer!

Finally, I said, "What, you don't trust me?!?!"

He replied, with a devilish smile, "I trust you… But I can count…!!!"

(Being able to count, referring to, "If you danced x number of dances with x number of people, and songs are usually ___ minutes long, you were here for…" )

It was a very jovial, lively walk to the metro, with us "bickering" so!!
