Journal 79 - I Have No Balance, and Choose Messed Up Movies

Journal 79

Saturday - 11-13-10

No Tretyakov -- met up with Skee and Derek (new guy) at a local Pub -- hung out and chatted all afternoon. Rainy day, etc. It was fun!

And, of course, there's hardly anything better than getting to walk down the street, arm in arm, with Marines on both of your sides. =^____^=

Left for my dance lesson -- found out there would be no practice today, because the guest coach was still in town. I let Roma know. He was disappointed of course -- we wanted to practice our new Jive routine -- but, c'est la vie.

Lesson:

Jive technique -- NO BALANCE. =ToT= I felt so bad.

Interestingly enough, on a personal level, working with Vitaly felt just like it did, back when I had started, originally. Lots of laughter, no yelling, no disappointment, reassurance. I don't know what's happened -- but I'm relieved. Really relieved.

Shared Cookies with Alëna and Kol'ya -- Dasha (Vitaly's Partner) and Vitaly were in the room at the time -- he asked Dasha if she wanted one, then they both declined. But then, Alëna asked me if I'd made them myself, and when I said yes, then both Vitaly and Dasha wanted one after all. *laughs* Can't beat homemade cookies, I guess.

Back to the Embassy for Movie Time with Skee.

Had a bit of a manhunt to find him. *laughs* I guess he'd just gotten up.

Watched, "Notes On A Scandal," which I had wanted to see for ages, because I'd heard it was good.

Skee: "Way to go. I think you picked the most messed-up movie in our entire collection."

It's probably true. He gets to pick the movie next time. Ha ha ha ha!!!
