I woke up late about the photo contest!!! I had intended to get up at 7, so that I could send in the photos around 11 something PM, DC time. But my brain mixed things up, and made me set my alarm for 11 AM, as I was thinking about the 11 o'clock DC time!!! Whoops!
As I walked out for breakfast, I met with Olga, to whom I apologized for making Bonnie bark when I came in -- thus, for waking her up. Unfortunately, Bonnie barks sometimes, and not at others -- so there was no way of knowing what she was going to do.
All of that aside, my host mum is now all but convinced that I never sleep. XD

Nastëna finished her tests, and she came to meet me in the café I was working in. As I still needed to get home, shower, get lunch, and grab my dance stuff, we said we'd meet up in 2 hrs.
-- By the by, the Weather was AWFUL today!!! -- This was something that Nastëna and I agreed about!! --

When we finally got together again, Nastëna revealed to me her plan for our afternoon -- we were going to a live Butterfly Exhibition!!!
The exhibition was located in the middle of this huge park, where there were carnival rides, etc. It was pretty cold today, so there weren't lots of people around -- but I get the feeling that in the summer time, the place is absolutely packed!!! I mentioned my hypothesis to Nastëna, and she told me I was right on the mark.
-- Back to the butterfly exhibition:
It was beautiful!!! There were so many different species, and they were EVERYWHERE. Nastëna and I each got landed on once, too!! Naturally, we all took about a million pictures, and I will have to sort through them later.
There was also a little back room in the exhibition, devoted to some spiders, praying mantises, and other buggies! So, that was fun.
It was a shame, but I had to get running for my dance lesson, so we only spent about an hour and a half inside, before we headed back towards the Metro together.
Nastëna wished me a happy trip, and told me to write her when I get back!! We also made plans to go to a dress rehearsal for all of the Victory Day celebrations!! I'm really excited for that!!! (I also think that that happens the day after we get back from Sochi! Busy, busy, busy!!)

Thus, I went off for my dance lesson.
And, oh, it was tough…!!! That 3 hrs of sleep came up and bit me in the ass, I think.
(Although, when we talked about it, Vitaly was pleased I didn't get home until 4 AM. Ha ha ha!!)
Some of the good things from yesterday were absolutely gone. (Much to Vitaly's disappointment, and my own.) I also can't seem to get the "jerkiness" out of my upper body, and keep said upper body isolated from my hips….
We hit up Cha Cha again, and I got another, "This is an exercise that never ends," from Vitaly. It was pretty fun -- but tough as nails to try to get down! Vitaly also decided to throw me to the dogs and make me do it to tempo -- I'd like to say that he was at least happy I managed to do it to speed; but we both obviously know it wasn't all that great… Dancing to the music (i.e. - to tempo) is hard!!!

Also -- I finally remembered to show Vitaly the new dance shoes I'd bought (Which he approved of -- damn!), and to tell him about my little brother having told me, "Just do it right."
Unfortunately, when I tried the shoes on again, ready to start breaking them in, they seemed too big! … And I was stupid and already had pulled the stickers on the bottom off. I got them stuck back on the shoes… Maybe the shop people won't look too closely? Or they are replaceable? Eeek. = O_o =

I practiced some, but I was all kinds of beat up today. I think I only practiced for an hour to an hour and a half, before I finally surrendered and went home.
I did have a nice end to the night, though!! I went to the Metro with the other Katya, and her partner, with whom I was not yet acquainted. She sat between us, so it was all ok, but she got off at the 2nd Metro stop -- which left me being terribly afraid of what to do next: 'Should I scoot closer to her partner?' 'Is he going to want to talk to me?' etc. Again, as I said, I'd never actually been introduced to him, so I didn't know his name or anything.
Thankfully, *someone,* was looking out for me, and he started moving closer to me, so I scooted in, and he asked, "What stop are you?" -- This gave us enough of an introductory conversation to get going, and for me to ask him his name, and remind him that we'd never actually been introduced. He seemed surprised about that, but quickly told me his name -- Serëzha (from Sergei) -- and we had a right enjoyable conversation until I left the train.
Mostly, we were chatting about what I was doing there, how long I was going to be in Russia, and about language in general. He told me he hadn't studied English for a long time, and I thought I detected a hint of, 'But I'd like to practice again,' - so I tossed it out there, that if he ever wanted to speak in English with me, I'd be more than happy to be a conversation partner for him. He smiled straight away, and said, "Really!?" -- so I knew I'd been right on the mark.
Hooray -- new friends!!
(I'll get to know everyone there at the studio before too long. *laughs* It's so funny, I know almost all of the girls, but not their partners!! -- Hence why I knew Katya, but hadn't been introduced to Serëzha yet.])

We leave for Sochi tomorrow night, so I have lots of errands to run tomorrow, to get everything in order. Figuring out my laundry / clothes may be interesting. = O-o =
Love,
Exhaustedly,
Moscow Kitty
