Ha ha ha, as it turns out, Nastëna didn't come to lessons today! She didn't hear her alarm clock, and consequently slept much later than she'd intended to. Thus, we're going to try to find another date when she can come. We did make arrangements to go to practice together, however!

In Music this morning, we heard THAT song -- as it turns out, it is the Capulets' theme song, from the ballet, "Romeo and Juliette," as composed by, .
Later on in the day, we had our dance lesson -- but there was another group in there practicing for something when we entered in. They finished quickly enough, and asked for our help to move some tables off of the stage, so that we would have our space.
Being the "strapping young lad" that I am -- which is to say that I have muscles and they can be used -- I went to go help move one of the tables over. As I bent down to help the older gentleman, who was directing the class before ours, he gave me a look of almost utmost horror, and waved me off saying, "No, no, no, you can't!!! You -- " he pointed to Juan, "--come here and help us move this."
Juan did so, and when he'd finished, and I found him again to say thank you, and to apologize for being unceremoniously dumped from the volunteers, Juan offered me the following beauteous statement:
"It's okay -- I did it for you… … Because you're a woman."
I don't think I stopped laughing, out of shock, as well as honestly thinking it was a well-played joke, for a very, very long time afterwards….!!

Once school was complete, and the afternoon had passed, Nastëna and I did in fact head off to practice today -- and while on the way, I had a MASSIVE moment of déjà vu with her -- to the point that it was actually more creepy than disturbing, and even involved me remembering exactly what I was supposed to tell her next in a particular story. Odd.

In a particularly crazy bit of news at the studio tonight, Slavik and Anna were there!!!
(Currently, these two are 6th place in the world, in Latin dance, professionally. -- So, they're very, very good.)
It was fun to see them in practice, and in taking their lessons, working on things that were tough for them, and trying to improve themselves -- they really seemed just like any other couple. Thanks to this, it was almost just as easy to forget that they were there, and to focus on my own practicing. After all, one will never become as good as they, or better, without worry about one's own self!! -- It should be noted, however, that it is *awfully* hard to ignore them, so to speak, when they are hurtling down the long-side, at you, doing their samba routine, for a lesson.
It was at that point that I hopped up onto some tables that were taking up space, and, "enjoyed the show," as they danced on by!!
Their routines are quite fantastic, the ones I was privileged to see!!

Unfortunately, I still have no word from Vitaly. According to another girl/another student of his, that's apparently normal? The same girl came and told me later, that we would have no lessons that night. (And that girl heard that from Vitaly's partner? -- I was very confused as to how that particular grapevine worked, to be honest!)
Double unfortunately, we are not supposed to have practice tomorrow -- boo!!!!! I need to work before Sochiii!!!!!!

Nastëna was a total *doll* and waited for me to finish practicing so that we could go home together. She had actually finished working almost a full hour before myself! I felt awful, but she told me, "Don't! I chose to stay!!" -- So, that was nice. =^__^= As I've said before, she's such a sweet girl!!!
She asked after my little iPod again (as we'd had a chat about iPods and Macbooks before), and so we were listening to my iPod Nano on the way home from the studio. When we reached the stop where we were to split ways, I let her keep it with her, so that she could finish listening to all the songs on there.
I was so tired after I'd finished my dinner (And after I'd finished calling a few friends to share the news about Slavic and Anna!!)that I decided on going to bed, and doing the paper in the morning…
