What a wonderful morning!
Olga - "How are you?"
Me - "Wonderful!"
Olga - "Why, "Wonderful"??"
Me- "Vitaly loves to read!"
Olga - "Most Muscovites love to read -- you'll always be happy!!!"
Ha ha ha, what a conversation to start the morning with! (What a preposition with which to end a sentence!) I think I was happier just because of how amused Olga was at me, for being so happy that someone should like to read. (Most Muscovites do.)

As I mentioned yesterday, I went to the Movie with my Tutuor - but there were some snafus getting there!
We went to a different theatre, and somehow or other, the Metro wound up being broken where Anya was -- so there was just a lot of, "Let's meet this way; wait, no… Uh, how about this?? … Uh, shoot, that's not working either… How about we just go to this theatre instead?"
In the end, we *did* meet up! -- While I was waiting for Anya however, I got a call from Sergei, canceling Shashlik tomorrow, because it was supposed to be cold! D'aww….

While it was a good movie, it was a LONG movie -- I actually thought I was going to miss the bbq -- but then Vitaly finally told me we wouldn't have a lesson today -- so I didn't have to worry about leaving the Embassy quite so early.
*****
Getting to the Embassy proved to be an adventure, too...
You see, I got there -- and I had called my friend Tyler when I was less than 5 minutes away, and told him, "I'm 5 minutes you, I can meet you there." -- But he told me to call him again when I was there.
Well, I got there, and my phone ran out of money!!! I sent him a Text -- but he never gets those from my phone… And that was apparently the last that I had in my balance! So I had to hike all they way back to the Metro, plus another 10 minutes, go put money on it, hike all the way back to the Embassy, and THEN call Tyler again!!
It was soooo good to see The Guys again!
I also have to say, NOTHING makes one so proud to be an American as being around a Charcoal Grill, at a BBQ, with 80s (Rock and Roll) music playing!!!!!!!!!! (Oh, and being surrounded by Marines and Embassy Folk -- that doesn't hurt… XD)
And by 80s Rock and Roll, I mean songs like, "Dr. Feelgood," "Paradise City," "Welcome To The Jungle," etc. etc. There was also some standard Journey. *laughs*
Also, continuing on the general trend of my life, I am SO loved!!! Scott was awesome, and made me one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life! Just for me! =^___^= And he told me so, that I was so loved, and I responded with a huge smile, "I know!!!! I'm so lucky!" -- I really am! What a great group of people to be around!!!
Speaking of being loved: I also made a new friend today -- Natalya! (She is Russian.) She rides horses! She also invited me to come with her sometime! Amazing!

And now, for the highlight conversation of the afternoon:
Strumpets Vs. Crumpets:
Mulzoff - "I thought that (a strumpet) was a kind of pastry."
Me - "No, that's a "crumpet." You see, Strumpets and Crumpets may both be delicious, but one of them might give you a disease."
And then it got BETTER...!
Tom responded quickly (after we caught him up on the conversation) -- "The Crumpets [of course!] -- [due to] unsanitary baking surfaces!"
Goodness, I love them!!!

Unfortunately for me, I had to leave for practice (although the guys were sad to see me go) -- but when I did, I saw some of the most joy, and people being nice to each other, all in one go here, in the whole time I've been in Moscow!!!!
While I was on the Metro -- I sat down, smiled at a little girl (who smiled back) -- and I scooted over so the guy with her could sit down; he finally did, but then popped right back up for an elderly woman who had entered the train. I got up so that he could still sit by the little girl; and went to go sit on the other side of a guy on the same bench, but he scooted over for me so I didn't have to walk around him!! The little girl and I smiled again -- it was a lot of good energy!
Unfortunately, at practice, I only had less than an hour! They closed early, 'cause everyone is at competition this weekend. :(
I got home, ate dinner; texted the girls from the Studio, and Natalya from the party -- called my little brother to give him a proper happy B-day (when it was the day of, for him). (He asked if I'd told Vitaly about his comment yet -- unfortunately, I hadn't yet!) Then, Natalya called, and tried to get me to come out to visit - but I was so tired, it was a no-go. Then there was more texting with Nastya and Katya (from the dance studio) -- but I took some time to call one of my best friends, Cam, and my phone ran out of money again!!! And now I can't call or text anyone!!! And this is bad, because I've already gotten two messages I need to respond to!!!!!!
*****
So, tomorrow, there will be homework, and maybe an early practice? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a lesson. And maybe more hanging out with the Marines.
I'm dead tired -- I've just caught up on three days of Journals -- how did I get so behind again? This is only the skeletized version!!!! (Although, it's obviously all fleshed out, now. 4-19-10)
Love, sleepily,
Moscow Kitty; 11:55 PM
