4-20-10
Happy 4-20! (<-- I say this out of tradition, not because I'm celebrating. = O_o = I don't touch the stuff.)
Continuing on from yesterday's journal….
I forced myself up at 6:05 AM -- and started writing said paper. (It's for my history class.) I made it through about 1/2-2/3 of it -- I just have the last body paragraph, and conclusion to do.
Luckily for me, we got a bit of a reprieve on the turn-in time!! Thank goodness!!!

Class Time
Things were marginally better today, speaking-wise, but not by much. How frustrating this is! It's like the rug has just gone out from under me…
We had our weekly meeting today, all about Sochi. "Don't get crazy with the partying;" "Don't bring liquor into the hotel, AT ALL, or they can kick all of us out;" etc. etc. (The hotel apparently agreed to host all 3 City Groups from the ACTR program. This should be interesting. Some of us are worried we're gonna get kicked out of the hotel… *laughs* )
Fortunately for me, in the micro-picture, I will be rooming with two other girls from my Moscow group who don't want to party like mad -- thank goodness.

Bit of Happiness in the Day:
We ran into Lilia Leonidovna on our way out of the university, after the meeting -- and she and I embraced and kissed on the cheek to say goodbye. My friend Merin saw this, and when Lilia had gone, she just looked at me and said, "Everybody Loves You!" Ha ha ha -- I had the warm and fuzzes. =^___^=

Being that it's Tuesday, I had the hustle lessons, and the weekly party again!!
The lessons were fun -- I'm happiest that I remember what to do for the guys' parts, over everything else!
I have to say though, I was a little disappointed when I got to the dance party… Because Andrei didn't bring me chocolate this week!!!!! (This is probably just as well, as I have so much chocolate here in my room it's not even funny…)
The dancing at the party was also good, right until the very end when Maxim and I danced a song, and I'd already let my hair down… See, it's not the hair being down that was necessarily a problem -- save that mine is a mane, and would probably eat small children if it could -- because it actually appears to be something that Russian men prefer (that the hair is down, if it's long like mine). But when a girl in heels steps on your hair and pulls it, while you're down in a drop or a dip -- that kind of sucks. XD

On the way out, Maxim and his friends -- well, rather, his friends, gave me my first introduction to Russia's extensive system of curse words, which I have to say, was pretty interesting.
I think it all came about because something had gone wrong, and one of them said something that sounded like, "Your mother." -- I was a little confused, because I didn't follow the line of speaking, and I responded, "What about my mother??"
Turns out, it was nothing about my mother at all, and the words in question meant something akin to, "Oh, s%&t," or, "Oh, f%#k!"
Following this, they explained a phrase (Telling me there was a similar line in a song from Quentin Tarantino's, "From Dusk Till Dawn") that essentially means, "Head towards a part of the female anatomy." (To put it nicely.)
Now, all of this was certainly interesting enough on it's own -- but then, as they were explaining the last phrase, we were all standing in front of the entrance to my metro stop. This means that there were plenty of people around, both being shocked and being amused by the situation happening in front of them. There also happened to be Militsia members around -- although, not close to us. … But then, I saw one whose path was going to carry him right near to us…
Maxim, eventually, through a mix of embarrassment at what his friends were telling me, and the situation in general, bemoaned, "What on Earth are you trying to teach her!? Why tonight, you've taught her, 'Oh, F%#K!' and 'Go to _____!'" -- And right as hi finished doing so, the Miitsia guy walked right by the side of the circle composed of Maxim's friends and myself. Every single one of the boys immediately stopped speaking, and became as quiet as church mice for a moment. When the Militsia member passed into the Metro building -- they all burst out in embarrassed, "Oh, s^%t!" type laughter, replete with sighs of relief!!!!!
They looked at me, and I only teased, "Oh, you didn't see him?!?" As I myself was dying of laughter!!

I returned home without incident, ate my waiting dinner -- and am just now taking care of the journal. I will probably try to get to bed within the next 10 min… I'm still exhausted.
I haven't heard from Vitaly about lessons this week, yet. : \ That's kind of annoying, I won't lie. I am leaving on Sunday -- I need to make sure I get some lessons in this week!
I do have some happy news though -- tomorrow, Nastyëna will come to our lessons for a little while!
Love,
Moscow Kitty
