Class --
There was lots of singing in Phonetics today! That is always fun; but I had some more frustrations about reading.
Actually, today, I had all sorts of trouble -- for today, I cannot speak Russian to save my life…
Today was so bad, in fact, that Tamara Evgen'evna even looked at me to said, "Today's not your day, is it??" -- due to all of my mistakes and stumbling over my words…..

I got home, collected my things, and went off to go dance, hoping that would improve my mood some.…
… And again no one was there!! …
I heard some voices upstairs, and went to ask if anyone would be by, and they said Alec (one of the owners) would be, around 9. Then they said something about Larissa (and maybe others?) being stuck (In France?), due to the Volcanic ash from the volcano that erupted in Iceland..
Either way, I figured, since I'd already gotten my butt all the way out there to the studio, if someone *did* come at 9, at least it would be an hour of practice for me. I was also hoping that some of the other dancers would come; so that I'd either have someone to talk to, or could get a straight answer about practice. I tried to kill the hour chatting with Cam, but seeing as how the school in which the studio is located also appears to be a Soviet-Era-Your-Death-Waves-Cannot-Reach-Us-Here building -- the call dropped three times, and I didn't want to waste any more money trying to call back again. (Sorry, Cam!!)
I tried to read for a little bit, but I was SO tired, I just wound up trying to nap (sitting up). Ugh. I finally heard some footsteps, and it was, I think, one of the other coaches. Must have been -- for she gave me one of those, "I'm looking through you, and I don't know what you're even doing in this place," looks. XD
The guard for the building was walking pretty closely behind her, and he said something to me (finally!!) about how, "There's no practice today, no one is here."
So, at 5 minutes 'til 9, I left. Nothing to make your day like literally wasting THREE hours, doing NOTHING (--- when there was a paper you could have/should have been writing, and you are EXHAUSTED….) !!!!
I got home, ate my dinner, and then figured that I would get an hour's nap (from 10:30-11:30 PM), and then get going on the paper… Yeah, should have known *that* was gonna work out…
Enter not getting up from the bed -- even though I didn't sleep all that well…. -- until 6:05 AM.
At which point, I forced myself up, to start writing -- but that's tomorrow's story.
Love,
Moscow Kitty
