Recap!
3-23-10
I am NEVER, EVER going to have a ballroom lesson in Russia, EVER!
Saturday, I was supposed to have a lesson. As you all know, that didn't happen, because I cancelled (due to the fact that I woke up, and my whole family was sick.) We agreed to meet on Tuesday (Today) -- and then HE had to cancel!! I've asked if he can just meet on Wednesday to talk… We'll see what happens.

In class, Lilia Leonidovna was back (for Grammar)! hooray!!!
It was great, we actually were talking about Ukrainian a little -- and I found out that Lilia speaks it some! Then, I asked her if she knew a (Ukrainian) song I got from one of my friends down in Florida, who was singing it once, called "Ridna Maty Moya" (Рiдна мати моя / Native Mother Of Mine) -- and she did! We actually sang some of it together -- it was very cool! As we were on our way out, I think she offered me a ride home, or at least to walk to the Metro together -- something like that, anyway -- but we had our weekly meeting so I couldn't go with her! She did say, however, "another time." I certainly hope so! I love Lilia!!!!

After school, I talked with Tai today!!!!!!! I love you, Tai!!!!! (He's one of my best friends from home -- and it was the first time I'd chatted with him since I've come to Russia. He also NEVER picks up his phone -- so to get a hold of him, on the first go-'round, was a MIRACLE!!) (He also joined the bandwagon of, "Show the Russian guys American girls aren't "easy!!!" So, I had a good laugh about that.)

As per usual, Tuesday night means Hustle!!!!
I was a little late getting out, because I took some time to "sew" (ish) my jazz shoes -- they're full of holes (thank you Disney and DWTS), and generally just destroyed. I really need to just get a pair of jazz shoes/dance sneakers here. I'm going to look up the Aida store tomorrow. Or just ask Irina.
Zhenya was back this week, but unfortunately, Maxim was missing!!! Sad! He had to work gain. And speaking of the former...
Zhenya, Zhenya, Zhenya… I feel like I'm in Jurassic Park -- with the Velociraptors who keep learning… I just want to tell him, "Clever Boy…"
While he didn't spend as much time trying out outright kiss me (thank Goodness -- 'He's learning, #1'), he did spend an awful lot of time just straight looking at me. … Now, I don't typically look him in the eyes… And apparently, he wanted that to change. So after enough time of my avoiding his rather intent gaze, he decided to *come down to my level* (i.e., he lowered himself) so that I had no choice but to look him in the eyes!! = o///o=
For goodness' sake…
I was actually kind of pleased, this week, he also suggested a few breaks (to go dance with other people) some of the time -- and we both took turns coming back to dance with each other. It was nice, I think.
At the end of the night, I saw him when I went to go get my coat, but not after. *shrugs* So who knows what happened.
One of these days, I'm going to have to ask him who he is, really.
Also -- am I the only one that finds it odd, that out of the few words we say to each other, he says "sorry" in English, and I say it in Russian? XD

Zhenya-boy aside, I saw a pretty fantastic couple -- and of course, it was immediately apparent that they were ballroom people. Just crazy good.
In other news, I actually decided to wear a skirt to hustle tonight, and everybody loved it! Also, Andrei brought me chocolates again!! Hooray! He walked me to the Metro, which was nice of him; and as we did so, he asked me about my heritage. He thought I might have been Italian! At least, something European.
Got home -- have too much hw to think about. And I'm really sleepy. I'm going to be sore tomorrow. Eek.
Love,
