Buying flowers for being late to class; then I felt I should buy my other teachers a flower each, as well. One for Galina, because she was sick; and one for Isol'da, because I'd cancelled a lesson last week, and felt bad about it. As it turns out, Galina wasn't there today!!! They said they'd set up the Rose for her, and hopefully it won't die before she comes back...

Went off to practice.

In keeping with the Pat On The Head tradition, and the fact that I completely adore Volodya [AKA Vova]…

When I first got to the studio, it was still very early -- and many lessons were going on, so I thought that I would just sit down and watch for a bit. I saw Volodya teaching a pair of the little kids. At one point, he was dancing with the girl. Here I should mention that Vova is pretty tall -- and he was probably about twice as tall as the little girl he was dancing with. As they there in a Fan** position (in Cha Cha), I saw Vova let go of the girl's hand, and put his on her head, while they were still dancing!! It was absolutely adorable. I still have no idea if he put his hand on her head, because he was trying to get her to compress more, or if he was just doing it to be funny/because he could [See: he was twice as tall as her, and didn't even have to *reach* to put his hand on her head.]

[**Fan = If the boy is standing facing a wall, the girl is about an arm's length from the boy, standing perpendicular to him. She is facing his left side, while her left side is to the wall the boy is facing.]

Speaking of Volodya, he was doing music for us tonight, too -- but his phone kept ringing. I heard this rap song playing at one point -- and I loved the sound of it -- tried to write down some lyrics -- couldn't find it when I went home!

Liga -- Pete walked me to Metro -- While walking we passed a kiosk/shop in the underground walk that was full of naked mannequin torsos. So we were laughing about the room full of, "Boobies;" and then I saw one that was dented, and we began laughing about, "Dented Boobies." Real mature, I know. But it was better than the 15 minutes of "balls" at that dance lesson! Turnabout's fair play, I suppose.
